據《太陽哨兵報》消息，熱火球星韋德（Dwyane Wade）受邀擔任ABC的解說嘉賓，對於是否留在熱火，他卻沒有明確表態，只表示等7月份再說。

去年夏天，韋德與熱火簽了2年價值3100萬美元的合約，第2年他擁有球員選項，他可以在6月底跳出最後一年(價值1610萬美元)的合約選項，新簽一份多年的合約。

不過，此前有消息稱，韋德與熱火的續約談判陷入僵局，韋德希望跳出合約，續簽一份3年長約，平均年薪在2000萬美元。而熱火管理層則希望韋德能夠執行最後一年合約，明年再談續約。

「聽著，現在是夏天時光。隨自由球員市場的開啟，未來會有很多機會討論。」韋德在解說時，沒有對續約給予正面的回應，「現在，我很高興總決賽開始了。關於未來，我們等到7月份再說吧。現在，讓我們把注意力放在總決賽上。這是現在最重要的事情。」

儘管韋德的表態，並沒有明確提及與熱火的續約問題。但分析人士卻認為，閃電俠提到「自由球員」，已經是在暗示會跳出合約。
